Frequently Asked Questions

How Lypp Works

  • How does Lypp work?
  • Lypp combines a lightweight web interface with robust, carrier grade telecommunications infrastructure to provide reliable conference calling and group calling services AND deliver features and convenience not available from traditional providers.

Lypp works with your existing phone line(s) (you can dial in from any number worldwide and receive calls from Lypp on any North American number).
  • How is Lypp different from traditional services?
  • Using Lypp you can hold conference calls in the traditional fashion (using a toll-free number and PIN we provide to you). BUT, you can also create instant or scheduled dial-out calls (Lypp will automatically CALL YOU and your attendees) from your browser, and create calls from Outlook and your Instant Messaging application (AIM, Google Talk, iChat, ICQ, Jabber, MSN or Yahoo!) or mobile device.
  • Does Lypp support International calling?
  • Yes, but currently participants outside of the US and Canada must dial in to the service (i.e. we don't support automated dial-out to International numbers, yet!
  • Do I need to install any software to make Lypp work?

  • Lypp is architected to deliver business-class calling and reliability. Calls never travel over the public Internet and work with your existing phone number.
  • How do I manage my call while it's in progress?
